Profile of Artist:
Kiran Bhulabhai is a traditional expert craftsman in Kalamkari. He inherited this unique and special art from his father Bhulabhi Chunilal Chitara and learned the detail knowledge of natural vegetable dyes. At the age of twelve Kiran Bhulabhai started practicing this art while playing with natural colours and soon became a master of this unique art form. To keep this art alive kiran bhulabhai trains the aspiring artists of National Institute of Design, National Institute offFashion Technology and many other instates of similar stream in India and also in International institutions.Master Craft person in 2005 for excellence in kalamkar Mata ni Pachedi in recognition of his traditional ancient artwork.
